I decided today was as good a day as any to try a pantograph. I was wobbly at first, but tried to concentrate on moving faster and not necessarily being precise. That really helped. This was fun and I will definitely do another so can continue to practice.
The pattern I used is called Ocean Breeze by Lorien Quilting. I purchased it from Urban Elementz. The quilt was stitched on my HandiQuilter Avante.

I found these wonderful embroidered blocks at MQX East. They are available from Kings Treasures and I am so looking forward to summer. I know that I have to wait for Spring, but doesn't summer sound wonderful?

Here are my samples that I stitched in the class today. I felt more comfortable than I have in the past. Definitely not perfect, but certainly getting better every time!!
MQX East - With Leah Day
I feel very fortunate that I was able to take a class with Leah Day today at MQX East in Manchester, NH. She is simply awesome- fun and inspirational! I was amazed by the beauty of her quilts. they were so impressive in person. I have included a few pictures of some of her work she shared with us.
If you ever get a chance to take a class with Leah, do it!

Playing with placement on this small quilt that will be used to cover the couch cushions in our Maine cottage. It will make it easy to clean up after the dog and grandkids! I think I like it, but will play with it for a little bit.
